I still can’t believe a world potency as big as the fucking United States is publishing fucking deportation minigames to their official fucking website!
And they use Sega and Microsoft logos to peddle it on Twitter!! And of course they won’t do anything about it legally because lmao why would they?!
To hell with this clown republic 🤡

The best I've seen was yesterday where a website had the log-in button greyed out after the password manager filled my creds in.
So I had to manually click both the email and password field. Just click them. Then it enabled the log-in button.
So someone took their time to write a piece of JS that said "If the user hasn't focused both fields at least once, no login". Literally why? Extra code that does nothing useful.

I was hoping passkeys would be the solution to this madness, but it seems to me the entire spec gives too much power to the OS Makers and too little to the users because "mUh AtTtEsTatIoN" so now I don't know anymore

Even if it was, the streamings everyone's using crush down the bitrate so bad it'd barely look better than 4k anyway.

Fucking duh.
Carriers fucking suck in every metric possible, you have to be insane to want to get their shitty support and shitty apps involved in anything more than the strictly necessary

I hated the Command + C and Command + V for Copy / Paste until I realized it meant not clobbering ^C in the terminal. Instantly loved it.

future of e-ink displays
Call me batshit insane, I want them to figure out dual stack displays.
OLED for watching, E-Ink for showing art when the TV is off like Samsung's 'Frame TV', but lower in power consumption and more life-like, both in the same TV set.

It's nice for malware purposes, say if you get something nasty you can hopefully get alerted when it tries to phone home.

Insane behaviour. Much as I hate Windows, for a “generous offer” I’d make it work.

I was more talking about the OpenClaw / This new Meta thing vertent of “Personal Agent” were you log all your accounts into it and it just “does things for you” on its own versus using AI to create an app.

Not a full distro but perhaps take a look at the Games on Whales project?
You could do a minimal Arch install then it on top of that.
Or maybe since the whole setup will live on docker, maybe some flavor of immutable distro? I use and enjoy OpenSuse MicroOS

Some engines support searching by IMDB I’d, probably because of cases like this.

This is why I’ve always preferred to enter the TOTP code myself instead of using the “Approve Sign-In” method.
Also the thing about the Redirect Loops and wacky login forms. Goddamn how come they ain’t fix it yet 😭

“Your personal AI agent that gets things done” must be this year’s most uttered phrase.
I’ve yet to see it amount to much.

It has it uses, I think the issue mainly stems from having it own by default rather than asking than explaining the risks on first use and asking the user what they’d like to do.
